Schedule

P2W will conduct four identical programs every two hours beginning at 9:30am on Friday, May 31, 2019. Carnivore experts from Washington’s Wolf Haven International and Idaho’s Wolf Education & Research Center will talk about what makes a carnivore, where carnivores make their homes, and how humans  can live in harmony with them.  Each 2-hour session includes 60 minutes of owl pellet dissection with Owl Brand Discovery Kits and an opportunity for student groups to rotate through stations where guests can learn more, including touching pelts, fur, bones, replicas of skulls, and even meeting live birds of prey!

Session 1 – 9:30AM – 11:30AM
Session 2 – 11:45AM – 1:45PM
Session 3 – 2:00PM – 4:00PM

Tierra Vida Rec. Center

Join us for the fun!

Bring your students to the Passport to Wildlife and learn from leading educators about birds of prey from the Washington State University Raptor Club, learn about large cats from the Cat Tales Zoological Park, and wolves from Wolf Haven, International and the Wolf Education & Research Center. And were that not enough, we’ll be dissecting owl pellets with event sponsor Owl Brand Discovery Kits!
